"This was an important decision in my life."

It has been a long time, I don’t know how many years, for 30 or 40 years, that I last held a pen and wrote down my thoughts. The day when I was young, what my dreams would be this and would be that. . .

My life did not contain completely happy days, but days of living by human instinct for survival. Because of our country’s political situation, we settled in another land different from where we were born. I told myself that I would be able to find freedom, happiness, and life in a civilized country.

This was an important decision in my life. Although having determined in advance that it would be easy, it is still impossible to not be surprised at a new homeland: language, work, life, society, daily meals, making a living.

Society, relatives who love us a lot but I still need to fulfill our responsibility. Now I am nearly 70  years old, thinking about my youthful ambition, what I have accomplished and what I have not achieved. Now I learn to tell myself how to determine “Enough”. Knowing how to find peace in order  to have a happy and healthy life for my old age.
