"It hasn't been easy but it's possible."
I’m a 29 year old male and I’m an alcoholic. I’ve been dealing with alcoholism since I was 17. Alcohol has damaged my life completely. Until 7 months ago after a long run, I decided to desperately look for help. It all started as casual drinking, it eventually escalated little by little until I needed alcohol just to function normally. I tried rehab and detox centers, but nothing ever worked until this past experience when I hit rock bottom. I was in the hospital really sick without anything and anyone when I made up my mind to take myself back to rehab and get treatment. It’s been 7 months now. It hasn’t been easy but it’s possible. With my family support and my AA/NA fellowship anything is possible.
